JOB POSTING: JUNIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

We are expanding and looking for a passionate and driven Junior Software Developer to join our team full time. We are looking for someone who is interested in all aspects of mobile app development and is willing to learn multiple different applications and languages. While our main focus is on the creation of custom mobile apps for library patrons, we also create supplementary applications for staff members on mobile devices. The successful applicant will have the ability to experience many different aspects of the development process from project planning, to execution, all the way through to testing and deployment. This is a position that will allow the applicant to grow as a developer.
About the Job:
*Assist with the creation of customized mobile apps for library customers, working with senior developers and project manager
*Code and build the app according to specifications from templated code and function libraries
*Build, test and deploy the applications internally and with customer site
*Modify and refactor existing code to further enhance application.
*Currently majoring in or has a bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
*Some experience developing with at least one high level, non-web based programming language such as Java, C++ or Objective-C.
*Understands concepts of JSON/XML and REST APIs.
*Basic knowledge of development IDEs such as XCode or Android Studio.
*Familiar with repository systems such as Git.
Qualifications and Skills:
*Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
*Experienced in problem solving, and able to follow a methodical implementation process.
*Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
*Comfortable working with others.
*Willing to hear and adjust to feedback.
Nice to Know (Not Required):
*Familiar with RFID and Bluetooth hardware
*Familiar with Amazon AWS and related sub-services such as EC2, Route53 and S3
Full-time salary, dependent on experience
